AC Lighting Coil Resistance Check
INote This test is made with
an ohmmeter and jumper wires to insert into the AC lighting connector
1Calibrate an ohmmeter on the low ohms scale and connect one ohmmeter jumper lead to the connector yellowgrey lead Connect the other ohmmeter jumper lead to the connector yellow lead Ohmmeter should read .86
[]] 2Move the ohmmeter jumper lead from the connector yellow lead to the connector yellowblue lead Ohmmeter should read 1.21 0.02 (0)3Calibrate the ohmmeter on the high ohms scale and connect one lead to clean engine ground Probe each of the connector pins with the other ohmmeter jumper wire The ohmmeter should show very high reading (00) If the ohmmeter reading is low, repair the grounded coil lead or replace the coil assembly
