32Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to new thermostat cover gasketInstall the thermostat using new seal33Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to new exhaust cover gasket(s)Install the innermodels onlyand outer exhaust coverTighten the screws to torque of 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 N'm), starting with the center screws34Install the intake manifold and leaf plate assembly using new gasketDo not apply sealer to the gasketTighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)35Install new seals in the inner exhaust tube as follows: Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to outside diameter of new upper and lower driveshaft seals Using OMC Pinion Installation Tool PIN 326575 from OMC Universal Pinion Bearing Remover and Installer Kit PIN 391257, install the lower seal with lip facing up until seatedUse the small diameter of the tool to install the seal Install the upper seal with lip facing up using large diameter of the toolSeal must be flush with or slightly below top of the flange surface when installed Liberally apply OMC Moly Lube between the seals Lubricate and install new O-ring on the inner exhaust tube36Install the water tube and grommet in the inner exhaust tube Lubricate the grommet before installing37Install the inner exhaust tube to the powerhead using new gasketIt is not necessary to apply sealer to this gasketInstall and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 N'm), starting with the center screws 13453
