11 Remove the connecting rod caps and linersCollect and retain the 30 needle bearings12Lift the crankshaft out of the cylinder blockReplace the connecting rod caps on the rod caps Orient them exactly as they were before you removed themInstall the screws finger tight11 41 13Remove seal ring from crankshaft14 Rotate the powerhead so that the cylinder head faces upRemove the cylinder head and gently push up on the connecting rods to remove No.1 and No2 piston assembliesDo not allow he connecting rod to contact the cylinder wall or inside of the pist on skirt during handling1151 15Remove upper crankshaft seal bearing from crankshaft1151 16Remove the lower crankshaft seal 10146

f151 17The lower crankshaft bearing should be removed only for replacement1161 18Remove the piston rings using an appropriate ring expander1171 19Use OMC Wrist Pin Retaining Ring Pliers PI 325937 to remove the wrist pin retaining rings from the piston 1181 20Place the piston with "L" side facing up, into OMC Piston Cradle PI 326572Push the wrist pin through the piston using OMC Wrist Pin Pressing Pin PI 3266241Note Pressing pin must enter the "L" (loose) side of piston2 1Inspect wrist pin bearing in connecting rodIf worn, replace wrist pin and bearingTo remove bearing, use OMC Wrist Pin Bearing Remover and Installer PI 32763722Refer to Cleaning at beginning of this section
