Disassembly 1Remove cylinder head and gasketDiscard gasket2Remove exhaust cover and gasketDiscard gasket3Remove intake manifold and leaf plate assemblyDiscard gaskets4Remove connecting rod cap5Collect and retain the 30 needle bearings6Push piston through cylinder7 Install rod cap on rod as it was originallyRemove and discard piston rings8Remove four screws retaining lower main bearing and seal housing The lower main bearing and seal are not serviced separatelyIf bearing or seal is damaged, the entire assembly must be replaced9Remove crankshaft through bottom of crankcase f71
