Ignition Component Replacement All Models Ignition Coil Removal 1Twist and remove cover to remove the high tension lead and primary leads from the ignition coils 2Notice the fastener and washer orientation before removing any screws3Remove the coil mounting screws and remove the coil and washers Ignition Coil Installation 1Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coil on the powerheadInstall and tighten the retaining screws to torque of 48-96 inIbs(5,4-10,8 Nm)2Apply light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramics and to the openings of each of the high tension lead coversInstall the high tension leads3Applya light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the opening of each primary lead cover and install the coversObserve proper wire routing and ignition timing: connect orange blue lead to top ignition coil and orange lead to bottom ignition coil
