9If timing light or meter is not available, use feeler gauge to adjust breaker pointsWith breaker arm on high point of cam, loosen locking screw and turn eccentric screw to provide gap of 0.020 in (0,51 mm)If new breaker points were installed, adjust gap to .022 in(0,56 mm) to allow for seating of the breaker arm rubbing block 10Rotate crankshaft clockwise through 1800 and repeat entire procedure for second set of points11 Clean the crankshaft and flywheel tapers with OMC Cleaning Solvent and let air dryThese surfaces must be clean and dry to allow proper locking of the tapersInspect both tapers for burrs or nicks
