4Connect ohmmeter red lead to ignition switch "M" (raised) terminal 5Turn key switch to "On" position
ill cutoff switchOhmmeter should indicate an open circuitIf
ohmmeter indicates short circuit (continuity), remove black yellow lead going to emergency ignition cutoff switch from key switchRecheck with ohmmeter red lead to blackyellow lead just removedIf ohmmeter indicates continuity, emergency ignition cutoff switch is defective and must be replacedIf ohmmeter indicates an open circuit, key switch should be tested

6Place cap and lanyard assembly on emergency ignition

ill assembly off switchOhmmeter should indicate continuity

7With ohmmeter still connected, pull cap and lanyard
