'4l3Remove the shoulder screw retaining the starter lockout L!I leverlockout lever springand washer to the starter housing Remove the starter .Qawl retaining screwwasherand starter pawl plate () with plate return spring from the starter assembly
Rer1)ove the nut from the starter pawl retaining screw
f71 6Remove the starter housing spring CD and the starter pawl L!.J Q) with spring washer from the starter assembly[!J
7Using screwdriver, pry open the pulley lockring remove ring from the starter
rgl 8Remove the friction plate and friction plate spring washer
9Hold the pulley in the starter housing while turning the starter over, legs down Hold fingers clear of the pulley and jar the starter housing against bench to dislodge the rewind spring and pulleyRemove the pulley bushing from the pulley
