1Avoid accidental starting of motorDisconnect the electrical connector between armature plate and power
2Remove the screw retaining the starter lockout cable clamp to the starter housingRemove starter lockout slide from the starter housing
3Remove the three starter housing retaining screws lockwashers and washers
