4Inspect propeller for nicks, broken blades, and cracksDO NOT attempt to weld cracked or broken propellersRemove minor nicks with fileNote that the aft side of the propeller is flat while the other side is roundedFile blades accordingly to retain shapeIf blades are bent, cracked or badly chipped, replace propeller5Inspect water pump impeller and replace if vanes are damaged or wornInspect pump housing for scoring and replace if damagedInspect impeller housing plate and liner or cup and replace if scored or pitted6Check water intake screen and clean if plugged7Inspect forward and reverse gears, pinion, thrust washers and thrust bearings for wearReplace if worn8Wash needle bearings in solventOil bearings immediately with OMC Hi-Vis gearcaselube to prevent rustingInspect bearings9Inspect shift components for wearclutch dog engagement surfaces, shift lever, cradle and shifter shaft10Replace any anode that has been reduced to two-thirds its original size (one-third eroded away)11During break-in period of reassembled gearcase, change the gearcase lubricant between 10-20 hours of operation Propeller InstallationAll Modelsi charge coil connector between stator assembly and
