Stern Bracket Servicing Disassembly
L.J t=J screwsRemove the screws, upper mountand ground
1Remove the bumpers from the bracket
from the upper mount retaining
2Using OMC Retaining Ring Pliers No4, PI 307429, remove the retaining ring from the pivot shaft
3The pivot shaft is splined to the lower mount bracket and secured with locking adhesiveHeat the pivot shaft splined end with torchAllow the heated area to cool, then remove the lower mount bracket and the lower thrust washer from the pivot shaft4Slide the pivot shaft and the upper thrust washer and off the swivel bracket
