Install the retainer plate on the crankcasePosition the support plate over the retainer plate and align the holes between the plate and crankcaseApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of screwsInstall screws and torque to 48-60 inIbs(57 Nm)38Apply OMC Moly Lube to the crankcase boss
Lubricate the armature plate bearing groove light coating of outboard lubricant
40Using needle-nose pliers in the slots provided, compress the armature plate bearing while guiding the armature plate into position41Position armature plate on retainer plate and torque screws to 25-35 inIbs(2,8-4,0 Nm)42Install the terminal board and rectifier
