118126Remove the pistons from the cylinder blockDo not allow the connecting rod to touch the inside of the piston or the cylinder wall27Loosen the thirteen screws that retain the exhaust coverRemove the cover and discard the gasket119128Remove the lower crankshaft seal using drift punchDiscard the seal and O-ring1191 29Remove the upper crankshaft seal from the bearing assemblyDiscard the seal and O-ring center main bearing and split sleeves for inspection31If the lower main bearing needs to be replaced, remove the retaining ring and then press the bearing off using bearing separator and pressWhen pressing on new bearing, support the crankshaft between the two lower counterweightsInstall the retaining ring with flat side facing out 1201 32Using an appropriate ring expander, remove piston rings from both pistons33Using OMC Retaining Ring Pliers PIN 326937, remove all wrist pin retaining ringsDiscard retaining rings1221 34Support pistons in OMC Piston Cradle PIN 326573 and remove wrist pins using OMC Pressing Pin PIN 326356 Be careful to collect all needle bearingsEach wrist pin bearing has 28 needles
