Ignition Component Replacement All Models Ignition Coil Removal 1Twist and pull on cover to remove the high tension lead and primary leads from the ignition coils2Notice the fastener and washer orientation before removing any screws3Remove the coil mounting screws and remove the coil and washersIgnition Coil Installation 1Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coil on the powerheadInstall and tighten the retaining screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)2Apply light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramics and to the openings of each of the high tension lead coversInstall the high tension leads3Apply light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the opening of each primary lead cover and install the coversObserve proper wire routing and ignition timing: connect orangeblue lead to top ignition coil and orange lead to bottom ignition coil
