INote the engine with propeller or flushing adapter not run Run the engine with the proper test wheelDo for the
adjustment1Connect timing light to the No1 cylinder2Start and run the engine to minimum of 3500 RPM in FORWARD gear with timer base fully advanced3The engine timing mark must align with the correct degree mark on the flywheel gridSee chart below

113 ill Stop the engine to prevent contactBend rod parts:Remove the spark advance rod with moving ends
together to advance timing; expand rod ends to retard timing4Install the spark advance rod and recheck timing per steps and 3Wide pen Throttle Stop Adjustment1With the engine not running, advance the throttle control to wide open position
