on the drive end capon the brush end cap
Bend two paper clips to the dimensions shown in figure
8Position new brush springs in the brush end capI nsert the brushes in position and use the paper clips to hold brushes retracted in placePlace the shaft washer in the end cap 9Place the washers on the armature shaftInstall the armature into the housing and into the brush end capRemove the paper clips10I nstall new seals on the thru-boltsAlign marks on the housing with the end capsStart one thru-bolt few turns then the otherTighten the thru-bolts to torque of 2,5 Nm (20 inIbs11Apply OMC Black Neoprene Dip to the heads of the thrubolts, to both end caps, and to housing seams12Operate the motor in both directions to seat the brushesC03684 C03683
