4Remove the armature from the housingDo not loose the two fiber washers on the shaft5Tip the end cap out from the housingRemove the brushes from the holderDiscard the springs and the end cap gasket CD
6Using pair of side cutters, cut the brush leads off 6-10 mm (18") from the brush holderDiscard the brushes 7Press new seal into the drive end cap with lip and seal spring facing toward toolSeat the seal below the chamber of the end cap8Position new gasket on the drive end cap
9Carefully split the ends of the new brush leads 6-8 mm (18") to fit over the piece of brush lead left on the brush holder10Fit the ends of the new brush leads over the old brush leads on the brush holderSlightly twist the leads together11Hold the leads with pair of pliers and solder the connections with rosin core solderThe pliers will act as heat barrier so the solder will not spread and the rest of the brush lead will stay flexible12Slide new end cap gasket the gasket in position
