56Remove and discard the seal from the trim pistonCarp-fully clean the trim pistons and rods and install new sealsThe seals consist of an a-ring and two split nylon back-up rings When installing the back-up rings, make certain that the overlap is 1800 apart57Using OMC Special Tool PIN 325065 (Trim Sleeve Remover), pry the trim sleeves from the manifoldWhen removing, rock the sleeve back and forth with your fingers while prying with the tool58Inspect the cylinder bore of each of the sleeves for scoringRep lace the sleeves if necessary59Remove the seals from both trim sleevesClean the sleevesOil and install new seals on the sleeves as shown in figure 60Remove the manifold from the holding fixture and clean the manifold thoroughly in fresh solventBlow excess solvent from the internal passages with compressed airIt is essential that the manifold and all components are kept absolutely clean and dustfreeAny dirt in the system could cause scoring of cylinder bores, sticking of valves or damage to pump components
