43Located under the trim check valve is one of the return springs for the pump control pistonUsing long-nosed pliers, remove the springDo not attempt to remove he pump control piston 44Using drag link socket, or similar tool, remove the reverse lock check valve 45Using pair of long-nosed pliers, remove the pump control piston and spring46Clean and inspect the components of the pump control piston Replace if necessaryBoth of the springs are identical and can be interchanged47Service the four short valves and one long valve from the manifold as follows: aClean the valves in clean solvent and replace the O-rings if necessaryDo not allow these valves to soak in solvent, as they have soft rubber seats within thembIf valve came apart during disassembly, it can be reassembled to work correctlyWhile the valve is apart, check the rubber seat on the valve core and reassemble the valve in the order shownThe valve can be pressed together in the soft jaws of viseor with light pressure in an arbor presscUsing tapered punch, depress the valve springThe valve core should move back into position under spring tension
