Removing the Power Trim and Tilt Unit 100 and 155 12Mark angle adjusting rod location and remove rodLift engine manually and engage tilt trail lock

It is necessary that the outside surfaces of the unit be completely free of all dirt, barnacles, flaking paint or anti-fouling paint prior to disassemblyOne method for cleaning the unit is to scrub all outside surfaces with stiff bristle brush and hot soapy waterThis will prevent dirt particles or other foreign matter from entering the unit while you are working on itMount the unit on the Power Trim and Tilt Test Stand (OMC Special Tool PIN 390008)Place the unit and stand in shallow tray to catch the hydraulic oil as it drains from the unitNeutralize the internal pressures of the power trim and tilt unit before disassemblingUsing battery, operate the unit until the trim and tilt cylinders are completely downReverse the connections on the battery and momentarily operate the unit
