Attach Throttle Cable 1Move the fast idle lever from "Run" or latched position to "Start" position several times then return the lever to "Run" or latched position 2Move the throttle lever on the engine so that the idle stop adjustment screw is against its stop3Grasp the throttle cable casing guide and trunnion adjusting nutPull firmly on the casing guide to remove backlash from the cable and remote controlMake sure the fast id Ie lever is still in "Run" or latched position4Place the casing guide over the pin on the engine throttle leverAttach the casing guide to the pin using washer and locknut supplied with the engineTighten the locknut securely6Turn the trunnion adjustment nut until the trunnion aligns with pocket of the anchor block7Position the trunnion nut in pocket of the anchor block5

8Place the cable retainer the retainer screw securely9Check the adjustment:

over trunnion nut and tighten

If the cable adjustment is long, (in compression), idle speed will tend to be high and inconsistent, and shifting out of gear will be difficultI the cable adjustment is tight (in tension), the control may be stiff through the shifting range
