Emergency Ignition Cut-Off Switch Operation The cap and lanyard assembly must be attached to the emergency ignition cut-off switch in order to start the engineAttach the lanyard to secure place on clothingDo not place the lanyard on any part of clothing that may be torn or will permit the lanyard to pull away rather than stopping the engineCheck operation of system by starting engine and stopping by pulling lanyardIf engine does not stop, refer to Emergency Ignition Cut-Off Switch TestAn emergency ignition cut-off switch can only be effective if it is in good working conditionObserve the following:

Lanyard must always have freedom of movement and be away from any obstructions or entanglements which could hinder its operationOnce month:

Inspect installation for secure attachment to remote controlInspect lanyard for cuts, fraying, worn cap, etcReplace if in doubtCheck operation of emergency ignition cut-off switchStart engine and stop by pulling lanyardIf engine does not stop, refer to Emergency Ignition Cut-Off Switch Test
