Check state of charge Add water and recharge Clean with wire brush and coat with petroleum jelly Tighten securely Check total current draw in circuit Clean and ighten connections Check leads for defective lead insulation or connectors Check for worn through insulation Disconnect rectifier leads and check ohms scale High reading on one check and low reading on otherdiode OK Zero reading on both checksdiode shorted High reading on both checksdiode open If ammeter shows no charge, check stator windings
