Key Switch Check (With Test light or Ohmmeter)
Disconnect battery leads and leads at the key switch2With key switch in "OFF" position, connect continuity light or meter leads between key switch "BATT" and "A" terminalsLight or meter should not show continuity3Turn key switch to "ON" positionLight or meter should show continuity4Turn key switch to "START" positionLight or meter should still show continuity5With key held in "START" position, transfer lead from "A" terminal to "S" terminalLight or meter should still show continuity6Transfer leads to "M" terminalsLight or meter should not show continuity in "START" or "ON" positions7Turn key switch to "OFF" positionLight or meter should show continuity8Transfer leads to "B" and "C" terminalsTurn key switch to "ON" position and push in keyLight or meter should show continuity when key is pushed in9Turn key switch to "START" position and push in keyLight or meter should show continuity when key is pushed in
