Replacement of Gearcase Anode155 Erosion or disintegration in salt water indicates the anode is performing its functionThe anode should be inspected andor replaced at intervals or corrosion to the motor will increase1Note the alignment of the index mark on the gearcase with the index number on the adjustable trim tab so that the trim tab can be reinstalled in the same position Remove the screw and the trim tab
2Remove the two screws caseRemove the anode
retaining the anode to the gear-

3To install, place the anode in opening of the gearcaseInstall
the two screwsBe sure lockwasher is on bot of the screwsTighten the screws to torque of 7-9 Nm (60-84 inIbs
