Installation of Gearcase65 1Place new O-ring on the driveshaftCoat the driveshaft splines with OMC Moly LubeDo not coat top surface of the driveshaft, as the lubricant here may prevent seating of the driveshaft in the crankshaft2Apply thin bead of OMC Adhesive "M" cement to the upper outer edge of the gearcase where it will contact the mid section3Slide the gearcase into place making sure that the driveshaft engages the crankshaft, the water tube enters the water4Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of gearcase retaining screwsInstall and tighten all the screws to torque of 24-27 Nm (18-20 ftIbs5Install the trim tab and align it with marksTighten the reta in ing screw to torque of 24-27 (18-20 ftIbs
