Removal of Steering Handle65 Models 12Remove the pivot connector

and retaining screw
Remove the throttle cable connector

and retaining screw
3Remove the wire retainer from the 3-wire connector (power pack to ignition coil) Disconnect the connectorUsing OMC Special Tool PIN 322698 (Pin Removal Tool), remove pin "A" from the 3-wire connector4Remove the stop switch ground lead head567

Thread the pivot connector off the throttle cableThread the cable connector off the throttle cableRemove the stop switch leads from the J-clamp
8Remove the steering handle screwLift the handle from the steering bracketRemove the steering handle nutPull the throttle cable and stop switch leads through the grommet in the lower engine cover
