Disassembly of Stern and Swivel Brackets 65 Models 1The screws holding the upper mount to the steering arm are splinedRemove the upper mount to the steering arm nuts Remove the upper mount assembly
2Place the upper mount in viseUsing plastic or leather mallet, drive the two splined screws out of the mount3Using 1-78" socket, remove the retaining nut from the bottom of the pivot shaftRemove the mount bracket and the keeper from the pivot shaft4Remove the pivot shaft and thrust washer swivel bracket
