4No voltage or low voltage at pinhole "A" or "B," turn adapter switches "A" and "B" "Off Crank engine Check volt age at pinhole "A" and" Meter should indicate 160 volts or higherMeter does indicate 160 volts, check or replace ignition coilMeter does not indicate 160 volts, replace pack5To check for miss at particu lar RPM with two-wire con nector connected to adapter, run engine to where miss occursBlack meter lead to engine ground, red meter lead into pinhole "A" and "B" alternately should indicate 200 volts or higher Maximum Spark Advance00 Models
It is possible for the ignition system to produce good spark and yet the engine wi II not startI the eng ine "pops" or "backfires" during starting attempts, the ignition timing could be 1800 offCheck the following: 1Sensor Wire Positioning -On the four-wire connector between the timer base and power pack, be sure the correct color wires are in the correct positions on both halves of the connectorSee the Wiring Diagram in back of manual2Ignition Coil Wire PositioningCheck the two -wire connector to be sure the top ignition coil orange wire is in terminal" A" of connector, and that it mates with the orangeblue stripe wire from the power packBefore checking the engine for maximum spark advance, refer to Section 1, Engine Synchronization and AdjustmentsPerform the synchronizations and adjustments in the order listed
