Charge Coil Test (Ohmmeter) 1Separate two-wire connector (charge coil)2 Insert jumper wire to terminal "A" in the stator end of the two-wire connector3 Insert jumper wire to terminal "B" in the stator end of the connector4 To test the resistance, connect an ohmmeter (calibrated to high ohm scale) between the two jumper wiresThe charge coil resistance should be 550 75 ohms 5To test for shorts, calibrate the ohmmeter to high ohm scaleConnect the black meter lead (-) to the timer base Attach the red meter lead (+) to the" A" terminal jumper wire in the connectorObserve the meterThen move red lead to "B" terminalAny needle movement indicates the charge coil or leads are shorted shorted charge coil must be replaced, or the shorted lead repaired to remove the shorted conditionSensor Coil Test (Ohmmeter) 1Separate the four-wire connector between the timer base and power pack2Insert jumper wire in "A" terminal of the timer base end
