Connector PlugsAll Models Two waterproof connectors, male and female plug-in type, are utilized in the ignition systemEach connector is secured by retainerThe retainer must be removed to unplug the connector
Connector Terminal Removal

Use the recommended lubricant for terminal removalSubstitutes may cause high resistance connections, short circuits between terminals, or have adverse effects on the connector material1Apply isopropyl alcohol into the connector cavity at both ends to lubricate the terminal and connector
2 Place the connector against the edge of flat surface and allow clearance for the terminal to be removed3 Select the proper removal ool for the terminal in the connector

4 Insert the removal tool onto the terminal and push the erminal from the connector5Pin and socket terminals may be replaced if damagedCrimp new terminals onto the wire at pointusing OMC Special Tool PIN 322696 (Crimping Pliers)If crimping pliers are not available, the terminals can be installed onto the wire using needle nose pliers, and then must be soldered to the wire to insure good electrical contact and securityNo soldering is required when using the OMC Crimping PliersConnector Terminal Installation 1Connect both halves of the connector together
