Additional Carburetor Body Checks: To perform the additional carburetor body checks, use syringe filled with isopropyl alcohol Invert carburetor and place tip of syringe filled with alcohol in the idle discharge passage Lightly press on syringeFluid should not leak from tube at point Idle air bleed hole must be coveredIf fluid appears, place small drop of OMC Ultra Lock PIN 388517 at point shown Check both sides of carburetor To check the idle passages, place tip of syringe in idle discharge passage Fluid should come out of the idle air bleed passage and the idle emulsion tube If plugged, use shop air of not more than 25 psi and blow into passage opposite direction that fuelair flowsRecheck using syringe and alcoholCheck both sides of carburetor To check the intermediate passage, place tip of syringe in rear intermediate passage as shownWhen pressing on syringe, fluid can be seen coming out of two intermediate discharge holes in bore of carburetorTo check intermediate passage air bleed, place tip of syringe in front intermediate passage as shownWhen pressing on syringe, fluid should be seen coming out of intermediate air bleed If fluid is seen coming out of core plug as described in Core Plug reseal
