Apply coat of Needle Bearing Grease (Part Number 378642) to main bearing liner, and place 14 needles in cylinder bIock halfsure main bearing needles not mixed with necting rod needlesMain bearing needles smaller than connecting rod needlesfCarefully place crankshaft in cylinder bIock certain to align upper main bearing dowel with crankcase recess00 not disturb needlesgMove pistons up so that connecting rod ings against crankpinsUsing Needle Bearing Grease, add remainder of 30 needles to each crankpinhAttach connecting rod capsConnecting rod caps not interchangeabIe with those of other rods, neither the caps of the same rods turned end for endassist correct assembIy, matching corners provided sides of rod and iTighten connecting rod screws Torque as specified in Section 2Check movement at connecting rods crank pinRods should float freely after torquingjUsing Needle Bearing Grease, place mainder of 30 needles center journal of crankshaftPlace bearing liner needles aligning dovetails Position crankcase and install crankcase taper pins, driving in carefully with hammerInstall attaching screws and tighten to torque specified in Section 23144
