LEAKAGE TEST Ignition coil and high tension leads may be tested for leakage or insulation failures using the ignition analyzerLeakage is caused by moisture, cracks in the coil housing or carbon pathsConnect the coil to the ignition tester per manufacturer instructions,Probe entire surface of the coil and high tension leads, flashover will be apparent wherever insulation has broken down Replace any coil which shows leakageSee Figure 4-30(High tension lead must be disconnected from tester
