DESCRIPTION The remote control unit is comprised of combination throttle and gearshift selection lever, warm-up speed control, starting choke and ignition switch, start-in neutral only switch, and motor temperature warning hornSee Figures 8-1 and 8-2
OPERATION
The start-in-neutral only switch in the control unit completes the starting circuit only when the control lever is in NEUTRAL positionThe circuit is open when the control lever is in either FORWARD or REVERSE positions and the key switch is inactiveWith the control lever in NEUTRAL pOSition, the warm-up lever must be moved to START positionAfter starting and warm-up, the warm-up lever should be moved to RUN positionSee Figure 8-3A lockout knob under the control lever handle must be depressed to allow movement of the control lever to forward Or reverseApproximately 45 of lever travel is required to complete shift into forward or reverse gearContinuing to advance lever in forward or reverse direction increases motor speedControl lever friction can be adjusted with the throttle friction adjustment knob located on the front of the control unitOnly sufficient friction to prevent throttle creep is requiredTHROTTLE CONTROL CLEVIS
