cPosition crankcase on cylinder block, and install screws finger tightReplace crankcase taper pin, driving in carefully with hammerRap bottom end of crankshaft with mallet to seat ball bearings and center crank throws in crankcasedCheck for binding between the crankshaft and the bearings or connecting rods by rotating the crankshaft with the flywheelSee Figure 5-42eTighten all crankcase screws to torque specified in Section 2fInstall cylinder head, using new gasket coated
bMake sure that gasket surfaces of power head and adapter assembly are cleanPlace new gasket in positioncCoat driveshaft splines with OMC Sea-Lube Moly LubeDo not coat top surface of shaft as lubricant here may prevent seating of driveshaft in crankshaft

lightly with OMC Gasket Sealing Compound(Do not use sealer if gasket is so marked Recheck for bindingTighten cylinder head bolts to specified torque, following the sequence shown in Figure 5-43NOTE Re-torque cylinder head screws after motor test has been completed and motor has cooled comfortable to touchSee Section 2go Reinstall thermostat, pressure control valve and spring, and temperature switchInstall cylinder head cover, using a- new gaskethInstall exhaust covers and automatic choke thermo-switch assembly using new gasketsTighten all screws to specified torqueSee Section 2
