Pistons and connecting rods are wearing parts and seat with the operation of the motorBecause of this, it is essential to maintain their original positions at reassemblyMark each connecting rod and cap, piston, and bearing compound to assure correct mating when they are reassembledAlso mark the cylinder from which they were removedhRemove flywheel key, upper seal and upper main bearing assemblyRemove lower crankshaft sealBottom main bearing may be removedif necessary, by removing snap ring and using pullerSee Figure 5-8
