3Determine which of two cables is for throttle controlLubricate end of cable with OMC AntiCorrosion LubeSlide one casing guide over end of throttle cable and control wireBe sure the "0" ring is in place in casing guide4Secure the control wire in the casing guideThe control wire is held securely in place by two clamp screws, but the wire must be kinked to insure positive locationThis is easily done by first turning clamp screw (using 332" Allen wrench) until it just touches the wireNext advance this clamp screw one turn onlyThis will kink the wire sufficiently to locate it in the casing guideFinally, install the anchor screw and tighten securelySee Figure 8-9 12345

is possible to completely shear off the wire, so be careful to advance the clamp screw to the point of contact only and then make just one complete turn to kink the wire without shearing itIt
