(5) FINAL CLEARANCE CHECK should be made after installation to insure that the minimum ring-togroove clearance of 0.0015" (0.038 mm) existsSuch can be done with feeler gage as shown in Figure 5-57NOTE Should clearance checking with feeler gauge indicate that less than 0.0015" (0.038 mm) minimum clearance exists replace seal ring with next size smaller 1Seal rings are gauge fitted
