Each coil should show resistance reading of 270 ohms 50 ohms at room temperature of 70 F(21 when checked with an ohmmeter set to high ohms scalebWith charge coil leads still disconnected from Power Packs, connect ohmmeter (HI ohms scale) between either charge coil lead and ground on starboard sideInfinity reading indicates good charge coilAny or zero reading indicates leads or charge coil is shorted to groundSee Figure 4-25Perform same test on port side charge coil leadscCheck for frayed or broken leadsdCharge coils are part of the stator and cannot be serviced separatelyStator must be replaced if charge coils fail these tests 63409
