SYNCHRONIZING CARBURETOR AND TIMER LINKAGE To assure proper spark advance at all throttle settings, carburetor and timer must be synchronized after timer linkage has been reassembledFollow the instructions given in Section 4, page 4-22 "Synchronizing Carburetor and Timer Linkage aAdjust idle adjustment screw so motor will idle at 650 maximum rpm IN GEARSee Figure 3-34bOpen throttle to wide open position (upper carburetor throttle shaft roll pin against its stop)Adjust wide open throttle stop screw so that throttle valves are full open without strain on throttle shaftsSee Figure 3-35NOTE strip ofO.003" '(j).08 mm) between the roll pin and stop should pull ou lth just slight dragSee Figure 3-35'
