REASSEMBLY OF CARBURETOR GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Reassemble the carburetor, paying particular attention to the following procedureKeep all dust, dirt, and lint out of the carburetor during reassemblyBe sure that parts are clean and free from gum, varnish, and corrosion when reassembling themReplace all gasketsDO NOT attempt to use original gaskets because leaks may develop after the engine is back in useCheck the Torque Chart in Section for correct torque recommendations during reassemblyFLOAT AND FLOAT CHAMBER aReplace float valve seat and gasket, float valve, float, and hinge pinbCheck for correct positioning of floatTurn carburetor body upside down so weight of float closes needleFloat should be parallel to gasket surfaceSee Figure 3-24cReassemble float chamber to carburetor body, using new gasketdInstall the high and low speed orifice plugs and screw plugs
