CONNECTOR HOUSING Installation of the "a" ring in the fuel hose connector requires the use of two instruments, one to hold the plunger down and one to remov the "a" ring Both instruments are illustrated and can be ade easily of 16 gage (116" diameter) steel wire piece of discarded remote control wire may be usedForm smallhook on the bottom end of the longe tool of about 116" radiusAfte cutting the wires to ength, be sure the ends are ounded off to preve nt at ching or damaging the "a" ring eat on the plunge See Figure 3-23 cPush the plunge down with the stra ight instrum entd Pinch the "a" ing togethe and gently pus into os ition with finge rs
