POWER ASSIST CYLINDER Using spanner wrench (Special Tool #386112) clamped in soft-jawed Vice, place hydrauliC assist cylinder on tool, push rod down and engage pins of tool with holes provided in bottom of pistonSee Figure 6-66

Use extreme caution to prevent bending push rodPlace the other spanner wrench on top of cylinder engaging pins in holes in piston capUsing socket wrench, turn counterclockwise to disassemble cylinderRemove pin to disassemble push rod, piston and valveSee Figure 6-67 for shift assist components
