CHOKE Check the choke for free operationChoke valves must move freely, without bindingLEAF VALVES aIf removed and disassembled, attach the leaf segments and leaf stops to the leaf plates, then examine each leaf carefullyEach leaf must lie flat against the plate with no edges turned up or away from the plateReplace anyleaf valve assembly which shows any indication of distortion or damage of leaf stopbAttach the leaf plate assemblies to the intake manifoldTighten screws to specified torque to avoid distortion of the leaf plates See Figure -2
