3The fuel pump operating components are not serviced separatelyIf malfunction occurs, replace the complete pumpbInspect the filter for accumulation of sediment by removing the filte cap screw and the filler capSee Figure 3-21cClean all parts of the filter assembly and fu el connectors in solvent and blow dryDO NOT dry parts wi th cloth, as lint may stick to tbe parts and clog the passages or prevent the fuel pump valves fronl seatingDissolve any gUlp my deposits with OMC Accessory Engine Cleaner (certain solvents will not dissol ve these deposits)
