REPLACEMENT OF ALTERNATOR
If windings are found to have failed, the stat or assembly must be eplacedProceed as follows:
aRemove flywbeelusing flywheel puller (Special Tool378103)See Section 5
bDisconnect stator and charge coil leads at erminal board and Power PackRemove four screws and lift stator from power headSee figure 7-20c Place new stator in poSition and attac with fo ur screws dipped in OMC Screw LockTi ghten to torque of 120 to 144 inch -poundsReconnect stator and charge coil leads
