FIRST TIMING MARK
dMove timing fixture slowly back and forth until the exact instant at which the pOints close is determined, as indicated on the light or meterThe pOints should break open when the timing fixture is midway between the two projections on the armature plateeIf timing is not correct, align timing fixture and first timing markAdjust points until the meter or light indicates closed circuitSee Figure 4-21NOTE If new breaker point assemblies were installed, allow for seating of the breaker arm by adjusting breakers to that points will open at first markf
