dDrive two taper pins out crankcase and cylinder assemblyThe taper pins must driven out from the back to the front the crankcaseSee Figure 5-6Remove eight screws attaching crankcase to cylinder block gRemove connecting rod caps, and lift crankshaft from cylinder blockRe-install caps connecting rods

Pistons and connecting rods are wearing parts and seat with the operation of the motorBecause of this, it is essential to maintain their original positions at reassemblyMark each connecting rod and piston, and bearing component to assure correct mating when they are reassembledAlso mark the cylinder from which they were removedhRemove magneto from crankshaftSee Figure 5-8Remove flywheel key only if damagedRemove seal and needle bearing assemblyNOTE: 28 needles are not retained in bearing
