3-4 Remove five screws attaching carburetor body to float chamberRemove low-speed nut, then remove needle valveRemove packing from carburetor body and float chamber, using care to avoid damaging threads in carburetor bodydRemove hinge pin, float, and float valve, and unscrew valve seat and gasketRemove high-speed nozzle and boss gasketSee Figure 3-"5CLEANING, INSPECTION AND REPAIR GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Clean all parts, except cork float, in solvent and blow dryDO NOT dry parts with cloth as lint cause trouble in the reassembled carburetorsure particles of gaskets are removed from gasket surfacesFlush out passages in the carburetor body and float chamber with solvent and remove any gummy deposits with Accessory Engine CleanerCertain solvents will not remove this gum which cumulates particularly in the float chamber and the needle valvesFLOAT AND NEEDLE VALVE 1284
